Squad News update Wednesday 8 February

It is sad to report that one of our former swimmers Ryan Liddell 's mum Kay passed
away last Friday due to her battle with cancer.  Spare a few thoughts tomorrow for
Ryan and his family as they attend the funeral at Mt Gravatt.

Swimming Queensland qualifying meet 25/26 Feb

Details for this meet are on the notice board or check out the swimming QLD web site
. Nominations close tonight with Sandy.  Sandy will still accept nominations
Thursday (tomorrow) at the pool by 6pm.

Don't forget all squads this Friday afternoon begin at 3.30 pm due to a school swim
meet.

Home Stay for Botswanian Swimmer

If anyone in the club is willing to host a swimmer from Botswana for 4 months please
let me know.  The swimmer's name is Deandra and she is 19 years old I was fortunate
to meet her at the World Championships in Shanghai.  Deandra would like to train in
Brisbane for her preparation for the Olympics and of course there will be a Host
Family payment involved.
